 BiG Austin Jeannette Peten Jeannette Peten is the President and founder of Businesses Invest In Growth, Inc. (BiG Austin), Through BiG, she directs an innovative and successful program providing the opportunity for low to moderate-income businesses to obtain quality entrepreneurial education and capital. BiG Austin's intensive entrepreneurial training is tailored to the level of business development from start-up through existing business expansion. Her background in corporate America at IBM, Merrill Lynch, and Grant Thornton prepared her well for the challenge presented by BiG. Ms Peten currently serves on the Executive Board of the Association for Enterprise Opportunities (AEO), a national association that supports the development of strong and effective U.S. microenterpise programs, serves on the Steering Committee of Champions Austin, and was appointed by Mayor Pro Tem Jackie Goodman to serve on the childcare council.
